Anime Expo 2019: Entrevista al músico Yoshihiro Ike

Yoshihiro Ike es uno de los compositores de música más reconocidos en Japón, y ha trabajado en más de 100 títulos en los últimos 20 años, incluidos Ergo Proxy, Tiger & Bunny y B: The Beginning.
Además, es recordado por los temas de Saint Seiya tanto en la película Leyenda del Santuario como en la próxima serie de Netflix.
Otaku Press tuvo el honor de entrevistarlo en el Anime Expo 2019, en Los Ángeles:
-¿Qué trabajo ha sido el más gratificante recientemente?
Cada trabajo ha sido gratificante para mí. He tratado de que lo sea. Y he trabajado mucho en cada uno. Si tuviera que escoger uno o dos diría que los más gratificantes fueron recientemente Rage of Bahamut: Genesis y Rage of Bahamut: Virgin Soul.
-¿Los fans encontrarán diferencias en la composición musical de Saint Seiya: Leyenda del Santuario y Knights of the Zodiac de Netflix?
La gran diferencia entre Saint Seiya: Leyenda del Santuario y Knights of the Zodiac es que la primera fue una película y la otra es una serie. Además, en la última, la post producción de la animación ha sido realizada en los Estados Unidos: desde la grabación de voces hasta la mezcla de la música. Y la razón de ello es que esperamos expandir la audiencia en los Estados Unidos, Europa, Asia y en todo América.
-¿Qué mensajes tiene para los fans de Saint Seiya que esperan el lanzamiento de Knights of the Zodiac?
A los fans de Saint Seiya, estoy seguro que aman Saint Seiya tanto como yo. Saint Seiya está evolucionando... . Y espero que, incluso con ello, continúen amando y apoyando Saint Seiya.
-¿Le gustaría llevar su concierto musical a América Latina?
¡Claro que sí! Me encantaría (llevarles mi concierto musical de anime) ahora mismo. ¡Solo díganme cuándo y allí estaré!

Hello everyone!! Ike, I'm music composer, nice to meet you. Thank you so much for enjoying my work in Latin America.
- Which is your most rewarding work?
Every work has been rewarding to me. And I tried to make them rewarding. I worked very hard on every work. And if I have to choose one or two, the most rewarding works were Rage of Bahamut: Genesis and Rage of Bahamut: Virgin Soul.
-What are the differences in music composition between Legend of Sanctuary and Knights of the Zodiac?
The biggest different between the Legend of Sanctuary and Knights of the Zodiac is the first one was a movie and the other is a TV series. And also the post production work of this animation have been done in the United States. Everything from recording the voice actors and mixing music have been done in US. And the reason was to expand our audience in the US, Asia and Americas.
- Can you share a message to Saint Seiya fans that love your work?
To all the fans of Saint Seiya, I'm sure that you love Saint Seiya. So do I. Saint Seiya is evolving. And there will be new developments. With all the changes, I hope you continue loving Saint Seiya and support this series.
- Would you like to visit Latin America for a new perfomance of Anime Soundtrack World?
